The Parts You Don’t Hear sat with the charming Andrew Ratcliffe in his hotel suite in Anaheim overlooking parts of Disney Land, Los Angeles at dusk. Andrew was attending NAMM 2018, the music industries premiere product and technology fair. He, like many visitors, had just set eyes on the first new Sound Techniques console. The moment was made all the more special knowing that it is eventually to be his.
Andrew was more than happy to sit down and talk with us about exactly how he came to know about Sound Techniques, how he met Danny White and how he ended up commissioning the first new Sound Techniques desk in more than 40 years. An educator and a musician, Andrew generously laid it all out for us. A great guy and a fantastic way for Danny and PH to kick Sound Techniques USA into gear.
Andrew has more than 20 years experience recording, engineering, and producing hundreds of US acts and is the CEO of Tweed Recording Academy in Athens, Georgia scheduled to open in the fall of 2019 with this beautiful new desk right at its core.
