Bridget St John

We met the enigmatic singer songwriter Bridget St John in Brighton before her show with fellow folk-legend Michael Chapman. She was kind enough to tell us about her earliest musical influences, signing with John Peel‘s Dandelion label and recording her two masterful albums Songs For the Gentle Man with producer Ron Geesin and Thank You For… with producer Jerry Boys at the Sound Techniques Chelsea studio.

Bridget also wrote a beautiful contribution to the Nick Drake book Remembered For A While and Cherry Red Records recently released a box set of her Dandelion era albums. Special thanks to The Greys Pub, a lovely little regular music venue in Brighton and The Southover, Brighton for your generous help on the day and to our cameraman Tim Band for joining us.
