The Incredible String Band‘s lovely Mike Heron talked with us today about their run of cult classic records; All 8 albums produced and recorded with Joe Boyd and John Wood the Sound Techniques Chelsea studio.
Despite warning us before-hand that he couldn’t remember much about the 60’s, Mike proceeded to give us great stories about how he first heard Robin Williamson playing with Clive Palmer in Edinburgh before he auditioned and joined the band, the influences on their songwriting during those early years and band dynamics throughout their heyday.
Mike Heron continues touring regularly, often with Northern folk act Trembling Bells. He has written a fantastic autobiography called You Know What You Could Be. Keep updated with Mike’s activities here.
