Ron Geesin invited Nick and Marco to his home and studio in East Sussex to talk about his career in music, working with Pink Floyd and the superb album Songs For The Gentle Man which he produced for Bridget St John at Sound Techniques.
The brilliant experimental composer, producer and author talked about John Peel, the Dandelion record label and pushing Bridget and the traditional singer-songwriter approach by composing scores to bring out her poetic nature. Ron Geesin releases through his own label Headscope and you can get his amazing book ‘The Flaming Cow’ about working on Pink Floyd’s ‘Atom Heart Mother’ at his website.
Big thanks to the excellent Marco Windham for taking the trip with us to shoot.
